By the late 1970s, Japanese distributors faced with Bruce Lee's limited oeuvre turned - like their counterparts in other martial arts film markets - to scavenging Lee's earliest works for something new to release. One such film was Fury of the Dragon (William Beaudine, 1976), a compilation of episodes from the television series The Green Hornet (1966-67), in which Lee played the Green Hornet's faithful sidekick and manservant, Kato.
